Amen. I never really understood the King James Version of the Bible. I've tried to read it several times and then find myself going over and over trying to put some understanding into it. Most all I've known is what I have learned in church as a child and up to now. Then one day around Thanksgiving, it was as if God said, "You've read many books Mary, but you haven't read all of mine." And then I answered and said, "But Lord, you know I've tried and I can not find the meaning and understanding that I need." Then as if he pulled it out of my head, he said, "Someone gave you a new English Standard Version. Go find it and read it. I'm sure you will understand it much better."
And so I sat about the house until I found it. My husband said, "Remember, it is better to start in the New Testament with one of the Gospels, like Luke or John."
I looked at him and said, "NO, I want to know everything that happened from beginning to end." And so I began with the Old Testament. I missed reading it the 2 weeks I was sick with Omicron during Christmas and New Years or I would be much more ahead. Today I am on Jeremiah chapter 21. Last night I had a dream that I turned the page to continue reading and realized I had finished it. And then I screamed out, "George, George, that's my husband. I finished it. I finished the entire Bible."
So with this being Biblical; I am ready for whatever the Left is planning on placing on us. I am thankful and blessed that the good Lord has pushed me to do what I am doing. A worthless sinner I am, the Lord has worked much good on me. We will fight this battle together, the Lord will not forsake us.
I have highlighted and written Chapter and verse in front so I can go back and compare with KJV once I am finished. I am so thankful that God pointed out to me that I had this Bible and it is much more understandable to me. God bless.
A comparison with original language will unlock even more. I recommend the ESV Study Bible with footnotes. The footnotes give extra context and alternate word meaning since many greek and hebrew words had multiple possible meanings

And all God's children say amen. I have a similar experience but it took me longer to get here. Blessings on you.
God bless you too my friend.
ESV is a really good translation...much better than the eloquent but highly flawed KJV
