His term ends in June, Dems have 4 months to nominate and pass through another lib. Wouldn’t it be great if the 2020 election is decertified due to widespread cheating and Trump gets back in only to choose a constitutionalist?
Right. The court's term. I now understand. I saw "his term" and thought maybe you were foreign-based, or suffered from a blue-state public school social studies class.
A Court term is the 8 mths, or so, that SC(r)OTUS is in session to hear court arguments. The rest of the time is closed sessions for legislative matters, administrative issues, and "research."
4 mths wont be enough time to get someone in. Not with Sinema and Manchin blocking almost everything in the Senate. Maybe Sinema will approve it because she's a woman, and [they] are determined to get a black woman on SC(r)OTUS, but Manchin might as well be a DINO at this point, so I don't see him voting yes.
This, like almost all the other "legislation" on the docket will be D.O.A. on the Senate Floor.

Term? SC is a lifetime appointment.
He refers to the Courts calendar term. Starts in October…ends in June.
Gotcha. That makes sense.
