I grew up along the border of Canada and the U.S.
Back in the day, we’d just wave when we crossed, everyone all smiles and happiness. But after 9/11, George Bush sold our criminal computer database to Canada that listed the arrest record of every American.
When I started crossing as a tour director bringing people to the Canadian Maritimes, it became a nightmare. It was just totally barbaric and unpleasant. The border agents were consistently assholes, not letting certain people on our tours in for mistakes made thirty years before. I actually quit doing tours to Canada because of this.
The border is crazy strict right now and has been since 2001. You hear horrible stories about it and you can read them online. So, there’s just no way In hell they’re letting these truckers in without an order to do so from the top. No border agent is going to defy orders and just let them In either.
I don’t know how it’s happening, but it’s amazing, yes! I’m just totally wondering how this is playing out. Who gave the okay at the border?
And why?
Heard that many trucks are not allowed to cross the border, so they are protesting right there instead.
Government is the enemy of the people.
Can you imagine if they cared as much about the Canadian border message about the southern border.
Why do those with a little power feel the need to exert it? If all border patrol ignored the travel in and out of Canada mandates, based on what happens on the Southern border, what is the U.S. and Canada going to do? Fire them all?
They are truckers the border guards wont know which ones are going to the protest. Maybe many of them had runs to Canada as many do so they deliver then join the convoy. It can be that simple.
Those not allowed in stay at the border
If they can't cross,they can just block the border.
That's still a win.
Unvaxxed cannot cross.
