Also reading requires active participation and attention. While audio/video is much more passive.
The attention span of many is fleeting. This is a part of the difficulty in breaking the hold over the majority of the populace. I'm not sure how this is resolved, it is a puzzle too complex for me to tackle. Even with all the information in hand, the path forward is shrouded in an enormous amount of variables that make choosing the next move extremely risky. I believe this is where super computers have their value. Running millions of scenarios to try and determine the best move going forward is a task that computers can excel at. Even then, you increase your odds, but there is no guarantee.
