Coincidence that the same weekend we are watching the events unfold in CA (Canada) that the NFC Championship Game is being played in CA (California) by two California teams in the same stadium where the Super Bowl will be played two weeks from now? Will this be the Super Bowl that will be made to look "like a puppy party?" by the events/storm swirling around it?

I lived in San Diego a year and a half a few years ago. It was awesome for about a year, but then it kind of started seeming like the same day every day :) (I did love all the surfing I did; caught up on ~20 years of virtually no surfing back east :) )
Darn wish u were still here , would be nice to know a Fren lived here ,, I haven't surfed in awhile not many girls were surfing years ago , guys didn't like sharing the waves lol , now there are many and guys are cool with girls surfing but the bloody water gets colder every year , to cold for me. I'm originally from East ,, jersey and Philly , couldn't live there now, but SD is a nightmare and yeah people aren't the friendliest! Sigh
I'm from the south and have lived in AZ, CA, MS, FL, NC, and now NY. I have found the south to house the friendliest people (maybe snow makes people angry :) ). Of the three general areas I have lived in, west, south, NE, I found people in the west to be un-friendliest (sorry nice westerners, just a general observation, not saying everyone in the west in un-friendly :) ). When I grew up in FL, and began surfing in the 70's, there were hardly any girls/women in the water, and the ones that were, on the east coast of FL, were more aggressive/unfriendly in the water than the guys (maybe because they were mad that the guys didn't give them respect, and they had to fight for what would be considered their "normal share of waves"). If you haven't surfed in a while, I recommend the two spots I mostly hit, Tourmaline Beach (at the northern end it's really fun and way less crowded, because you have to walk a whole few hundred yards down the beach from the parking lot :), and "Garbage", the break on Point Loma; a really fun spot that is not crowded if you go on a weekday or late Sunday afternoon. (most spots are probably ridiculously crowded on weekends; I only went surfing once on a non-late-Sunday-afternoon weekend. I drove down to Trestles one early Saturday morning, only to find at sunrise that there were already about 30 people at the "Lowers" break!, and this was when sunrise was about 6am) The modern wetsuits are really warm and comfortable compared to decades ago, so if you haven't been in a long time, you might be pleasantly surprised!
Love tourmaline I lived in PB for 25 years love Point Loma as well but don't get there often , I do PB lajolla or up north Del Mar wind n sea swamies etc , I bought a house in Tierrasanta not sure if U know Tierrasanta , but Tierrasanta blvd turns into balboa which turns into garnet ,, so if I'm at the ocean I head east on garnet and 20 minutes later it dead ends into mission trails the mountains and canyons that's Tierrasanta , it's a quite nook as people who are driving in Tierrasanta live in Tierrasanta there is no thruway . You're in NY ? Upstate ? I can't imagine being in the city , Long Island is not as bad but damn the city is commie land correct ! What brought u to NY?
