I think it weird that Soros would put out a statement like this on his own, I wonder if he has been captured. He does not care enough about this world or its people to send any message, good or bad. Was this given under duress?
Not sure if it panned out because, I did not follow up on it but, Wasn't there some info being put out last summer about Xi calling Soros "Evil" or something? I mean, combind that with Soros now spitting doom on Xi, maybe Soros is just tagging back at em? IDK.. Can't trust any of that anyway but, just a pondering. heh.
It does seem like that, especially because he is reading the script.
Anyone could have written that. However, I took the time and read the subtitles, so as not to be distracted by his accent.
Without reacting to himself, here is a wee analysis/TLDR:
I agree with his analysis of the China conundrum, which is comprehensive and delves into both recent and historical events, including time-stamping the Evergrande collapse - as the end of a lucrative growth period, which may make Xi cranky.
He juxtaposed totalitarian societies to open liberal democracies, and identified that there is a struggle for global technocratic supremacy, aided by AI and big tech. Without saying so, he implied that total control was difficult to achieve as Xi is currently finding out, even though he was sooo close. Flies in the ointment are Hong Kong, Taiwan and the disgruntled apartment buyers, who are still waiting for delivery.
He also identified that although the Ukraine may blow, that no-one actually has the appetite to fight a war there.
Weirdly, he said that Biden's policy is sound, which is the only thing I did not agree with.
