Same reason Trump got fooled. Probably even easier to fool the military. They have been forcing people to take all sorts of odd shots for decades. Most people just figured it’s another shot, it can’t be worse than the anthrax vaccine or malaria shots. And in the beginning, they were losing entire ships to covid. They were probably terrified of becoming completely bogged down.

Most people got fooled.
