I want to hear the “conspiracy theories” about this place.
Furthermore Id like to point out that there are butterfly sanctuaries and or butterfly biospheres around big cities all over the the country. Is this... something? Nothing? Why would one close because a few loonies have speculations?
Are you guys completely unaware of the years long fight between this particular sanctuary and the border wall? Did you miss the reports of them aiding the illegal border crossers, the mules, the traffickers, the cartels?
Time for you to do some research and then get back to us. This shits been well known for at least the last 3 or 4 years.
I remember this place battling with Trump over the border wall, saying it would ruin the butterflies natural habitat. It was a bunch of garbage. I'm not surprised in the least to hear there are other shady findings happening here.
I recognize my comment came off as if I didn’t believe the theories - totally meant the opposite of how it came out. I don’t buy their innocence. What I want to know is what the theories are? I completely missed this dig.

Google Earth and note the proximity and access to the Rio Grande, which is the border between Mexico and US. It's a perfect trafficking hideout.
Mostly a nothing burger it would seam. If you look at the place on google earth even if your wanted to use it for what they are saying. It’s a pretty bad location.
