I have both. A couple Oz of gold coins and bars, a bunch of jewlery with pieces as high as 24k, and a bunch of silver, mostly 1 Oz coins and constitutional silver.

That's a good point, I only have .22 and .223, but I'm getting a 9mm soon (my state is ridiculous with hand gun permits) so I may as well.
