No, life imprisonment doesn't equal them coming to kill him. I'm not saying that defending himself against the corrupt government coming to take him away in the night is bad, but they weren't trying to kill him. Let's not pretend that's why he did what he did or use that as the excuse for why he started shooting. It's simply wrong and makes us look like deranged, trigger-happy idiots who think the police coming to arrest someone for a crime so they can be tried in court is the same as them trying to murder that person in cold blood if they didn't shoot the police first. Now we know that the whole thing was likely entirely corrupt so if that was the case then his response wouldn't be unjustified. The clowns were coming to arrest him for some "crime" and railroad him through some bullshit "trial" so he responded with the primary reason the 2nd amendment exists; defense against an overreaching tyrannical government. That's fine, but he didn't shoot them because they were there to kill him.
Fact of the matter is that neither of us know what would've happened, but we have seen enough examples at this point where they were coming to kill the person in question.
They were coming to arrest him.
Considering the end result was his life imprisonment, that's the same thing.
