Reminds me of the SPEEA strike against Boeing in 2000. Super-efficient burn barrels. Expedient weather shelters. Propane heaters. Not your grandfather's street strike!
SPEEA was the professional union for the engineers and technicians. We brought savvy to the art of the strike. Our burn barrels had chimneys and dampers. All the strike sites were coordinated through cell phones. The public was so in tune, people would literally drive up and give us a box of doughnuts to nibble on. Lots of honking as they drove by. Tens of thousands of families in the area had members who worked at Boeing.
Lol over-engineered burn barrels. Tim Allen on a runway... Back then, engineers actually Built Stuff as hobbies. Today's collegiate flakes have no hobbies and less know-how. But the trades? GET 'ER DONE, EH!

Boeing? I imagine there were some engineers and highly trained technicians participating.
