Same. Like all "leaders," true colors have been exposed. I have to drive 50 miles to reach a church the never buckled, and never showed any fear. I don't think I will be able to attend one of the nearer churches ever again.
This "unholy alliance" between churches and public health began during the financially flush years of HIV/AIDS prevention, under the guise of having faith communities reach out to their minority congregations. I'm sure the argument to improve"access to care" and the extra $$$ in grant money is still appealing during COVID. This is a partnership that needs to be broken up in the future.
A local church that allows outside groups to use their facility for meetings recently clamped down and required masks. Few people actually obeyed the mandate and the church, needing the rent they pay, are not enforcing it. So much for faith and courage.
One of my greatest frustrations during the plandemic was the utter cowardice of our nation's religious leaders.
Faith and Fear are on the same spectrum and reside at opposite ends of that spectrum. The more you have of one, the less you have of the other.
Our religious leaders bought into the fear and thus decimated the faith of their followers.
In a battle of Good vs Evil, when you have your leaders join the other side, you lose the battle before it even begins.
