From what I’ve seen over the last year or so, Russell is living his authentic self. He enthusiastically encourages all people to consistently non-violently pursue the truth, strive for harmony and peace, accept others, but speak up and protest peacefully when necessary.
But please watch, JP is uncharacteristically vulnerable because he's going through so much and Russel let's him speak and is a good man. 9 months old this is what started making me think differently at russel.
I remember him from forgetting Sarah marshal and get him to the greek
His speech about addiction in get him to the Greek was searing in its bald honesty. As a recovering (heroin?) addict he was absolutely convincing in its delivery, and (as our extended family has been blighted by addiction) it’s absolutely spot on.
I remember when he first started out on MTV years and years ago, he’s always been funny but after he got clean he’s become more open about learning.
I don't take anything as gospel other than the gospel. But I've been keeping an eye on russel for over a year now.
Here's what I noticed:
He claims to be leftist and that's okay.
He interviews just about anyone and displays genuine curiosity. He let's the interviewee speak and finds common ground.
He is consistent in his views and we have a lot in common with what he seeks.
He divorced Katie a while back, I feel he may have gotten a close up view on how the sausage is made and He's been relatively in Hollywood since.
Watch this interview with Jordan Peterson where Peterson gets VERY emotional about his condition and issues and Russel is a gentleman

Nothing wrong with that.
I have seen the same. He feels liberated even if he looks like a Chakra aligning new age hippie.
His content speaks for itself.
Liberated, yes. Well put.
Yeah doesn't seem forced like Bill Maher
I will totally watch! He’s a total wordsmith, that’s for certain.

I mean he's got the nice accent, I can give you a rapid fire jersey accent but it doesn't sound as sophisticated xD
Russell's accent is NOT "sophisticated". I think it's what they call "estuary".
