Nobody good supports those pigs. The police profession has always attracted thugs like shit attracts flies, and lately (last few decades, especially with public sector unions) it shelters and protects them, too. Even so, society needs someone to deal with criminals, especially organized criminals. The force that cleans up society's criminal shit, whatever form that takes, is called police.

ACAB, all cops are bad, is not just false but anarchic. We know our systems are corrupted. The system needs purging. Our job is to save what can be saved, to scrap and rebuild what can't.

Just like there are nurses and doctors that deal death, there are some that speak out, quit, or work overtime with real cures. Just like there are thugs and criminal gangs embedded in the police departments, there are true civil servants who will put their bodies on the line to chase down killers and thieves, and to protect the innocent.
