I have The coof (and am not vaxxed of course)
It has basically felt like a heavy cold that won’t go away. The first couple days were worst, but recently (day 7) I started having this annoying chemical burning type smell in my nose off and on.
I swear I saw recovery protocols for sinus/smell stuff but can’t find it now that I search… can anyone help point me in the right direction? Much appreciated if u can, cuz having a burning bleachy smell is getting old reeeeaaalll quick.
My taste and smell came back after I went to the chiropractor. Not sure if that’s what did it or not but a few hours after going it started ‘short circuiting’ on and off and when I woke up the next morning both were back to normal. Could be a coincidence.
Weird. What was done during your visit? Just a basic adjustment ?
Yes. Just the normal adjustment. I have no science or data other than that’s how it played out to me. Very well could have just come back at that time anyways and had nothing to do with the chiropractor.
That is very interesting. I'm glad you posted it. Could be helpful to some.
You may have a throat or sinus infection. This may help:
Do a couple of sinus rinses each day. If you don't have a neti pot or a NeilMed sinus rinse bottle with salt packets, you can still do a sinus rinse using things you have at home.
You need something with a spout like a gravy boat, a creamer, a small tea pot or a gravy separator.
When you find something that will work, do this:
In a microwave safe mug, pour an ounce of distilled water and heat for 15-30 seconds in the microwave. Add in 1/4 tsp of Himalayan salt or iodized salt and stir to dissolve.
Test water temp on back of wrist. When tolerable, it is ready for use. Pour it into desired spouted container. Then,
Lean over the sink, place spout of the gravy boat or separator up to one nostril.
Gently sniff warm salty water into one nostril. It will go in and roll down your throat. Spit the salty water in sink. Keep sniffing until the nose is full and then you can blow that side of your nose.
Repeat on the other side. Repeat until nothing more will come out when you blow.
Then, get a magnifying mirror and use Q-tips to wipe inside your nose.
Do this at least 1-2 times per day.
Good luck.
Thx I do have a neti but didn’t think of using it to help with this. Unfortunately I think it is just related to Covid (Google for “long Covid smell”) so not sure it’s something I can wash out, but I’ll give it a go tomorrow cuz I’ll do anythin at this point lol
Yes, I am aware of the studies of long COVID re smelling loss, or distorted smells when smelling or tasting food.
But, there is a difference in your case, I believe. You have reported a 'particular' bad smell that is reoccurring at intervals, I think that is pointing to sinus infection which is notorious for producing a 'bad' smell.
Yeah this is a somewhat continuous thing.
I’ll dig the Netipot out today and see if that changes things
Good. It can't hurt. Let us know if things improve.
The smell thing went away on its own this afternoon sometime (so far?)
I did a netipot for hell of it tho.
I wonder if it wasn’t some weird side effect of loading up on all those vitamins as it def ties in timeline wise. shrug just glad it wasn’t permanent or somethin. Appreciate all the input from everyone
Maybe zinc/copper balance?
Ivermectin?
( seach "smell" and scroll back to 1/8/22 , currently 1 month ago. Hover over "x ago" to see the timestamp. I wish there was a way to display exact times continously.)
I don't know about anything specific to the nose or smells, but hopefully someone else can help you out there. All I've heard of for general care are things like NAC or glutathione, along with the general protocols. What have you been doing - anything? It would help to know that. Thanks and I hope you feel better very soon.
Thx, and I have been doing vitC, D3, Zinc and quercetein - all high quality stuff and at recommended doses according to protocol. Also was lucky enough to have a Zithromax pack when it started 7 days ago.
I feel “fine” otherwise - just annoyingly sick - but the nose thing is serious more difficult to deal with than any of the cold symptoms lol it’s like constantly having a smell of black marker, cat piss, and bleach mixes together just come and go.
Interesting. How long were you on the protocol before you got sick? Also, I have not heard about this particular smell thing you are dealing with. Mostly I've just heard that some people have lost their sense of smell. I'm sorry you're having to deal with smelling nasty things. Have you taken any ivermectin at all? Between that and either NAC or Glutathione, that could help, but I'm not a doctor. Maybe consider calling America's Frontline Doctors to see if they can help? Please let us know how long you'd been taking the Vit, zinc, etc. stuff before you got sick. That could be important. And definitely let us know when you get rid of this smell issue.
The smell thing I will wait til I neti pot later tonight.
I didn’t have ivermectin or access, got Zithromax fortunately and started it day one of feeling symptoms (before testing positive). And then have been taking the vitamins since tested positive. I previously was already taking extra C just cuz I do anytime I’m sick.
The smell thing isn’t affecting taste/smell when trying to smell something, so I think whoever suggested sinus infection/neti pots (maybe u?… replying to comments is hard lol) may be right
Well I hope that works then. This is probably unrelated to your situation right now, but I'd like to tell you for future use. Below is the video of Joe Rogan with Dr. Peter McCullough. If you'll skip to the 39:30 point, you'll see Dr. McCullough speak of a nasal rinse for viruses. (Talk of the neti-pot reminded me.) This is great info, imo and if it's not something you could use now, you may be able to use it at another time in your life.
And if you want ivermectin, did you know you can get it from America's Frontline Doctors or even the Frontline Covid Critical Care doctors? The first are based in Texas, the latter in Florida. They both have websites. Another option is to order directly from a pharmacy in a country where ivermectin is an over-the-counter drug. A place like Mexico would be good if you're in the US since it's so close.
But just to be clear - the things like zinc, quercetin, vit c and vit d you have taken since you tested positive, but not before? That's key to my question. I was wondering if you'd been taking them for say, a period of months before you got sick.
When you have time, please check out that clip below at the 39:30 mark.

Thx ill check the clip out.
I’ll check into ivermectin, I just assumed it wasn’t an option cuz I never considered ordering it just to keep on the shelf.
And no I was not doing any of the protocol stuff for preventative measures. I take a standard Thorne Research multivitamin and eat well otherwise. Again, took some extra C once I felt my body getting sick, but was standard practice forever for me.
I see. Thanks very much for clarifying.
Here is the website for the Dr. Kory and Marik group. (FLCCC)

And here is the America's Frontline Doctors site.

Hopefully, one of those can help you. They have a doctor do a telemedicine visit with you to prescribe then have a local (to you) pharmacy fill it.
Here's a link to a Mexican pharmacy. It's infuriating that you can pick it up like you would an aspirin in so many countries, but not the USA. Of course, I'm not sure you're American, but if you are, this might be a good place since the shipping wouldn't take as long as from India (where lots of people order.)

Thx yes American and I’ll look into getting some should I get sick again. I feel like I’m mostly through it at this point, just feel forever fatigued at the moment.
If you can't buy invermectin or HCQ.
Quercetin with Bromelein 1200mg day
Zinc 50mg. elemental zinc Vit D 10,000iu daily Vitamin C Another treatment includes Benedryl and Lactoferrin
All these are over the counter.
Not a doctor but these are all very safe and work.
Thx I’m already taking the Covid treatment however, looking specifically for dealing with the smell thing though. I swear there was a post specifically about that at some point
I have heard good things about pine needle tea. I know it works against the vaccine, brain fog. smell I don't know. try smelling salts?
I will try some strong smelling stuff out tonite (oranges, Vicks, garlic, patien peppermint, etc) after I netipot my brains out.
Pine needle tea huh? I’ll check into it…
Cloves is another good 'strong' smell if you happen to have it.
Yep got me some …
Zelenko protocols
It's long Covid. Lots of info online about it. Such as: https://www.winknews.com/2021/03/17/some-covid-19-survivors-experiencing-unpleasant-smells/
Yep I’m aware - I’m looking specifically for info shared on here at some point with how to deal with that though, thx for responding
