I'd say it's friendly advice. I don't follow Rogan too closely, but he has dropped some major red pills in the last few months and I'm down with that.

To each their own, however no matter what you feel about his opinions on things he talks to almost everyone and typically refuses to be discouraged from doing so. His following is so huge simply because he's not afraid of controversial subjects or people.
