90% of the total food supply in Hong Kong is imported food. The Mainland is our most important food source, especially for fresh food. 94% of fresh pork, 100% of fresh beef, 92% of vegetables and 66% of eggs in Hong Kong come from the Mainland.
No fresh vegetables on the supermarket shelves here. Hasn't been since the beginning of January, just ramped up this week. Having bare shelves is really rare, in fact, not even sure if it has ever happened in the 20 years that I have been here. And gas is up 15% for 2 weeks already.
Now, China and Hong Kong are ramping up lock-downs and the fear (could be because they want more security for the Winter Olympics).
But now, I can see, it may be that their economy is about to go full belly up and that's why they are pushing hard to control the population using the pandemic as an excuse.
They're going to use the covid excuse, or going to be the excuse, to trick the population for the idea of no fresh produce:
"5 cross-border drivers test positive for Covid-19, unionists say Hong Kong’s fresh food supplies may take some time to fully recover"
The collapse could be soon, can't give you a time frame but since everything is globalized if China sneezes it's going to affect everything.
That's the current situation here. Stock up guys, at least for a month. Very important.
I think, over here in north America, they are going to use the trucker convoy as a cover for more shortages... might be why they started forcing the vax on them in the first place - to get a bunch to quit. And then they could blame the supply chain problems on them. Now they are doing nothing to work with the truckers, not lifting mandates (for the most part).... just letting the truckers (literally) idle, while the government is bad mouthing them, trying to to turn public opinion against them, so they can scapegoat them with all the shortages and economic problems we are facing.
It will work too. Once the shelves go bare and the media-government point their gnarled cum-drench fingers at the truckers and right wingers... watch what happens next...
three missed meals is all a society needs to descend
Way beyond that.
Appreciate this. We're pretty stocked and can't do more right now due to an impending cross-country move. But as soon as we land, we're back at it. Thanks!
I read that they won't allow you inside a supermarket without vaccine papers. Sounds like a way to reduce demand to cover up the bare shelves. How are people surviving if they can't enter a supermarket or use public transport without a vaccine pass?
That and to make you feel very fortunate to just get in and ignore the lack of stock. Whew. Got a roll of TP and parsnips.
I don't think they've implemented that yet, there are hard restrictions incoming on the 23rd this month, so they may just push that in. I'm planning to order online and also there's open air markets I'm planning to get food from if pushed. For travel, I drive so don't really use public transport.
Will try to remain as unvax as much as I can.
Still working on how to proceed if they start mandate it to everyone.
My theory is that all of our beef and potatoes that are found to contain traces of ecoli are actually shipped to chyna to feed them instead of being destroyed here in the US. I doubt our meat is as tainted as they say it is.
If America stops feeding chyna they die. What are we waiting for?
Thanks. Are you good?
I honestly don't know. For the food situation, I'm going serious food shop tomorrow to buy more rice and tin food, I should at least prepare for a month but likely I'll buy for two. I have two months worth of cooking gas. Water and electric they should keep on to prevent us from serious rioting.
I can only hope that XI and Putin is working with Trump to get the financial reset into a new system away from their central bank system. This interim stage will be bumpy for everyone, not just this side. Speculating of course but hope is always good.
I've got enough food, water and fuel for at least 3 months. I hope it won't go much longer than that. Also, if they cut your power, look up hobo cooking. I'm ready to cook in the weirdest ways. I have three wood burning areas on the property and lots of wood. Candles are a must. I aslo have enough ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin for my extended family. Of course I had to get that from another country. This country doesn't let you have medicine. It prefers ventilators and remdesivir.
Good intel, where is here? Looks like you are speaking of HK.
Look up the tech companies listed on the Hong Kong exchange that are in the process of re-privitization trying to flee the Hong Kong markets and relist in US. Last 6 months alone. Can't say anymore on it but a simple Google search should be more than enough to get started. The business world KNOWS what's coming.
So you get your poisoned food from China. Bad plan.
