Thats what I saw when I dug. Approved for animals in 81 and humans in 87. BTW a I remember a family member talking about it back in the 80s. They worked with it in developing animal/livestock products.

Yeah 1969 Is about right for the earlier version I believe. The one that actually did have some heart complications if I remember right.
