Re number 3? Let's say I'm in a helicopter, in the high hover out of ground effect, pick a height say 5'000ft and zero airspeed and a heading of 360' North. Should the ground beneath me be static or be moving?
Asking for a fren.
They're not ready yet. They're coming along though. They get there.
If I’m on a train and it’s moving, when I jump I still land in the same spot. Same principle.
When you are on the train, you are moving at the same speed as the train itself. So, when you jump for that brief second, you are still moving at the same speed as the train (due to forward momentum) and you land basically in the same spot.
What would happen if we are on a superfast train and jumped straight up on a trampoline

Yes and no, you can jump up for what 1 sec?
Whereas I can be in a stable hover at 5,000' for over an hour and more (as long as I have the fuel for it) not forgetting the earth is spinning on it's axis, as well as moving forward through space, allegedly.
