Because it wasnt just murder, it was a hit job. He diddnt get in trouble because he was promised immunity if he went through with it. He was promised after a few news cycles there wouldnt be enough public interest to look into whats happening.

I know that the cinematographer's husband had ties to the Clintons but that's all I'm aware of.

Iirc she was involved in journalism prior to being a cinematographer. Ill have to look through my notes again, this is what i get for not being organized.
