For years I thought Lincoln was a Democrat because I had a jr. high history teacher say it.

She claimed blacks voted democrat out of respect for Lincoln's party who freed them.

Been a registered Republican for 30 years bit I did vote for Gore because something about Bush gave me the creeps. After that I voted independent until Trump. He was the only politician I've ever heard bring up the trade deficit with China. That got me hooked.
