Look on the bright side. HE just made national news. As a radio host, you can't buy publicity like that. The guy will be well known... and welcome at another station quickly.
He's probably fielding offers this afternoon from other stations. Meanwhile, he's almost guaranteed to get on a few talk shows or news programs to discuss his support for the truckers and why he got fired from his broadcast job for it. :>)
He'll end up making much more money and be more well known after this.
Good for him for speaking his conscience. We need more people in media to do this.
However, it sounds like he still has a lot to learn. He doesn't have a problem with media organizations like his radio station taking bailout money from the government (the Canadian government subsidizes almost all "trustworthy" media in Canada with hundreds of millions of dollars)? That's almost certainly what cost him his job!
If only the FM/AM dial only had some competition for the radio listeners.
Odds are he will be picked up by a larger station with a day or two. He just made National attention for standing up for what a majority of Americans support
