Check out Trump's response when asked about becoming speaker of the house...
Still think we're delusional?
"Frankly, I hope we don't need it because what should happen is the plan that we're on now and I think a plan that's gonna make people very very happy, we'll be announcing sometime later and that's really what should happen..."
Sounds like he has a plan to come back before the midterms. One that doesn't involve becoming speaker of the house!

TRUMP IS NOT A LOWLY LEGISLATOR. THAT IS GRUNT WORK ANY DUMBASS LAWYER CAN DO.
HE IS THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE.
The job is not significant. The Line of Succession is.
He doesn't need to sneak into the presidency by becoming Speaker when he's not a state representative, then banking on impeaching Biden and Harris successfully AND having them removed
He would never be seen as legitimate, any more than if he sneaks in by a tiny margin in a vote of state legislatures, one vote per state.
He can simply win another election, if necessary, or be reinstated by auditing the 2020 election and reversing the fraudulent electoral vote, assuming that happened.
Fixing 2020 is the only way. 2022 or 2024 ain't gonna be any different without removing the fraud machines and unconstitutional procedures.
This starts with "making the thief put the diamonds back"
It's good that you bring up legitimacy, because while I may agree that the Line of Succession route is far-fetched, it is entirely legitimate and everybody will understand what to expect because it's spelled out in the Constitution. I say far-fetched because necessarily, Trump-supporting congressmen and Senators will have to have large majorities in Congress - AND corruption will have to be exposed-possibly enough to where impeachment is not needed because resignation precedes it. The shortcut that we can't predict is if Biden resigns due to health reasons or passes while in office, elevating Harris - BUT, not being able to secure a new VP before the house of cards collapses and Harris is forced out.
What I've never understood is the logistics of "reversing" an electoral vote - who makes that happen?
