This⬆️ I was going to one of the biggest churches in town, Southern Baptist. I’m the type person that usually will talk to a twenty something person like I do an old person. It’s about respect! I had gotten to know this young kid who was in the band. He stopped going (his parents were deep in this church). I saw him outside of church & asked where he had been. He’s the first person to enlighten me on Corporate Church. He said he can’t keep going to a church that worships the pastor. I think he grew up there where as I had only been a couple years. He told me about them rolling down the aisle a brand new John Deere lawn mower during church. A Christmas present for the pastor. I’m in eastern NC, very rural. He moved to Nashville TN, I guess to attempt making it in music. I saw him a year later in the audience on a TV show that came on CMT. I often wonder about him. At least he was smart enough to see it. But I think about him & others that have been raised in church & it’s forced on them. I know people raised in Southern Baptist church by parents that made them attend everything. They don’t return to church. To much of a good thing can backfire!

One should check to see where their denomination's overseas mission donations are really going. I remember reading years ago about one denomination funding a rebel group in some country.
