Just pull the "covid" trick. Worked for the prime minister.
Or take out a key part that makes the tow work, then get there and say "ah it's broken, can't do it today, gotta order the part out.. there's a big backlog maybe in 6-8 weeks, but it could be 2-3 if you drop the mandates"
