The last surviving member that created the Charter and Rights for Freedoms is with the convoy Truckers. He is doing a lot in the background. It was him himself that said that they can not invoke it instantly they have to first go to parliament and senate to get it approved. That takes 7 days to 3 weeks. He also said it will not be approved because there is no basis for this emergency order. I did assume and still do that the person responsible for putting together the Charter of rights and freedoms would know more how it all works than the rest of us.
They made it public today. It's on their gov website some Anon posted it here earlier.
"As soon as the cabinet declares an emergency, the powers go into effect immediately. The act stipulates, however, that Trudeau and his ministers also must go before Parliament to seek approval from MPs and senators within seven days."
"The act says that these extraordinary powers are time-limited to just 30 days, although they could be extended."
So even if it goes into effect immediately and even if he presents it in seven days, and even if it passes, they still have to keep voting in every 30 days to make it stick. How long do you think having to vote—and approve—every thirty days will last??
Five provinces—over 75% of the population—already left the “emergency” in their dust. That doesn’t count the additional individuals in the 8 remaining provinces who are done even if their governments aren’t.
I’m not worried. They got this. It was the truckers that pointed everyone’s attention to the right place—

I'm not arguing what will happen. It's just false to post it's not active.
You’re right. It’s in effect. I listed the multiple steps required to keep it in effect, which will not easily sustain its continuation.
