We are born into sin through the woman and get corrupted by our parents and the world.
That is why we must forgive our imperfect parents and return to the Heavenly Father.

God gave us free will to choose sin or righteousness. This is basic theology.

Theology sounds like an intellectual term, and intellectuals have no common sense
People are either guided by Good/God or Evil/Satan. One can’t serve two Gods. If it’s choice then why do people purposely choose the wrong decisions to themselves, like yourself? The answer is because people can’t help it as it does not come from themselves
The point is you always have a choice to be good, be kind, and be just. To say "you have no free will" is to remove responsibility and culpability from your actions.
And, you can't simply nullify sin by asking forgiveness. Murdering your child is spiritually unforgivable, for example, no matter how many times you pay your tithe.
