The masks do numerous things aside covering identity.

It makes you a second class citizen as if you are wearing a Niqab or a Burqa.
It is symbolic of your First Amendment rights being infringed upon.
And it causes you to breathe in your own carbon dioxide, leading to headaches or drowsiness, which are covid symptoms.
