Indeed. Emotion induced syncope happens when you are overwhelmed by fear, grief, or joy.
I'm guessing it isn't fear or grief.
He was probably pressured into taking a clot shot by his employer, at the risk of losing his job, like so many others.
Ottawa police did not have to take the shot unless they wanted it. They did not make it mandatory for them.
