This makes me think of the story of Solomon. He had a ring that he could throw at demons to basically enslave them. used demons to build his temple, so the story is told. They would have been stone cutters.

Yep. It's where thw story of Arabian nights came from which inspired lord of the rings.

How did I miss that from LOTR? I do not remember Arabian nights. It's Jinn!!!! The Muslims know how evil they can be. I remember after looking.

Holy cow, though. It went over my head.
