Some thoughts.
You shouldn't be installing apps. If you can access it from a browser, use a browser. It can't collect as much information on you, especially if you harden it.
It's social media. Expect everything you say to be scraped, archived, and sold. Your email, phone number, and contacts could possibly leak. What isn't offensive today could get you fired tomorrow.
Unless something changed this is a spinoff of the Fediverse. Something that already existed and didn't require a major server for you to join. You could have made your own at home with a raspberry pi but it would expose your IP.
It's like everyone forgot about what happened to Parler.
Hell, it happened recently with the trucker donations.
I'll wait for the next bus... I'm sure all the highlights will get posted here.
Excellent reminder......I've got a scamdroid and have no plans to put that app on there. I don't think there's one to be had anyway
