Yes it was bad, it looked like rehearsed. I'm sure he has to watch what he says, if he went off script he might say something that could damage his case. His lawyers gave him a sheet of paper and said, "Say this". Its hard trying to answer questions on live TV when you have to stick to a specific preconceived statement. He should not have done the interview and stayed silent.
