Yeah, it's much better if we agree with the poster that calls them "mentally ill"?
We have tried everything with these child abusers. We have tried facts, reason, expert testimony. We have been kind.
Maybe it's time to give the 8th graders the back bone to stand up to this abuse themselves Maybe, since their parents won't listen to us, they will listen to their own children.
But, these poor kids are not mentally ill, and that is just rude.
Yet, they are mentally ill. Mental illness is everywhere in this day and age and it is not an exaggeration to say that almost every single human being out there is mentally ill. Sanity is a exceedingly rare commodity. You may think of someone strapped into a safety vest in a mental asylum as mentally ill, but that's not what being mentally ill is about. Being anxious, fearful, stressed, filled with anger, contempt, hatred, filled with lust and seeking sexual pleasure constantly, greed, gluttony, drinking or taking other drugs every day/weekend, the desire for attention and to be accepted by everyone around you at all costs, staring at your phone for hours on end, trying to escape your own mind at every moment of the day with endless distractions, that and more is all mental illness.
Empathy and forgiveness are not lost on me. I will empathize and forgive those who awaken. Until then, these people you wish to empathize with want you put into a concentration camp because of your non compliance with illegal, immoral and deadly mandates.
Yes, they do. Be compassionate nonetheless. It is easy to have compassion for those who are on your "side". Jesus of Nazareth himself explained that even the Pharisees, the hypocrites had compassion for their own. That is no big feat, anyone can do it. True compassion is for your enemies, those you disagree with and those who wish you harm. Of course there is nuance to this, it doesn't mean you should accept your family and friends being persecuted and killed - indeed you should protect them as best you can - but it means you should not let your heart be filled with hatred and contempt for them, instead understand that they, too, (erroneously) believe they are doing the correct things to protect their lives and loved ones but in fact they do not realize the harm they are doing to humanity.
We have done a good job at that, they have just facilitated it. We are weak-minded and don't know, honestly, what we are doing. We should all sit down in a quiet place and reflect daily on our own thoughts , impulses, contradictions, desires and be most critical of ourselves. Instead we try to escape from the chaos within ourselves by projecting onto others our own problems. We should be most critical of ourselves and fix our own internal struggles before even attempting to correct anyone else.
You are correct. Don't worry about the dislikes, empathy and forgiveness is sometimes frowned upon here.

The cabal has done a good job driving wedges between us.
