You need different angles to reach different people
One thing that makes me think someone might be controlled opposition is when they completely align with the timing of the binary corporate media division. So for example, when it’s all about MeToo on the left, that’s all the controlled opposition on the right will talk about. If it’s time for climate change, or racism, or sexism, or transphobia, or AOC, or Russia, or Trump taxes, or whatever the leftist narrative flavor of the day is, there the controlled right will be, arguing over the exact same things. Now sometimes, sure, a story is going to be so dominating for both sides, like Kavanaugh, where everyone is talking about it. But over time you will notice it’s the small filler stories too: the left sets them up and the controlled right follows their lead.
A true opposition party would be establishing its own narratives, they would be bringing up their own issues. A true opposition party wouldn’t define itself against whatever new bait the left is currently throwing out. To me a guy like Crowder is like this. Way too big a budget for a guy selling mugs, is always under threat of being cancelled but somehow never actually is, connected to Hollywood/corporate media, dual citizen, walks and talks and thinks in lockstep with the mainstream narrative, started off anti-Trump, won’t touch certain subjects, constantly stirring up Internet drama and conservative in-fighting, has a voice that is instinctually uncool/off-putting to people.
That is a spot on analysis. I pay a lot more attention to the really small stories that don't ever get talked about on here.
And yeah I noticed that about Crowder and there are a couple others that I question. I do love the salty cracker and Steve Turley I do think they're pushing a narrative but I do think the narrative is to keep us from going into civil war.
