Doesn’t seem to be FF, if RT is reporting Putin’s operation. Does seem to be above board, as far as I can tell.
Putin claims he has no intent to occupy the country but needs to disarm the military to protect the breakaway regions, which until very recently have allegedly been under constant fire by Ukrainian government, killing combatants and civilians alike.
The death count in Donbas since 2014 is minimum 14,000, but credible estimates have put it upwards of 50,000.

It'll take 48 hours before we know what is actually happening and what is fake news narrative.
Try to keep an open mind and be cautious about news articles that are 100% opinion pieces or are based on anonymous sources about events that happened at undisclosed locations and unspecified times.
Just as a planefag observation, there's zero domestic flights into or out of Ukraine, and around the edges, a sign that things have changed. Lot's of unusual activity elsewhere like Japan/Taiwan/Australia (Aus has its AEWC E737 up as well as P8) and plenty of US C130 and super J variants coming out of Ramstein Germany.
I can only stress things "appear" plenty different right now from an airspace view point.
