If you look at the propaganda of WW2 they did even more ridiculous stuff, but people just didn't realize it back then. Propaganda plays a huge part in war. You can't rely on getting citizens to film an emotional scene so many countries just stage their own "show" to try and push public opinion.

It's been done in all wars. Even ISIS did propaganda videos. It's just easier to hire crisis actors to act out the "war" scene you want. Then the media plays it around to influence public opinion.

I've never seen them be this obvious about it though. This is some of the worst crisis acting movies I've ever seen. They are being so careless.
