In the Bible following the mass Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt when they were wandering in the desert for forty years, Moses sent scouts to The land God promised. All but two came back very afraid and inly two said “We believe with God we can overtake them” (paraphrasing).
Modern churches and scientists claim “oh their weren’t any sizable giants, only seven foot maybe eight at most.
Ever seen Stonehenge burial mounds? They are huge (and protected by the government). The city built under the Grand Canyon is protected from visitors, not for them. Only a few caves you are allowed in, yet people have photographed things of giants as well as huge sarcophaguses and skeletons.
Giant skeletons have been turned in to Smithsonian to display, yet they had them dumped by barge into the deepest part of the ocean.
(From the Historical non canonical Book of Enoch)
Enoch became the principal intermediary between two sides of the conflict between the “Fallen Angels”, and the “Righteous Angels” serving an all knowing deity referred to as “the Lord”. There were multiple issues in the conflict such as Fallen Angels interbreeding and/or performing genetic experiments with humanity, and passing on forbidden knowledge and technologies to the still developing human civilization.
The Book of Enoch begins with the arrival of 200 Fallen Angels in the area of Mount Hermon, which borders modern-day Lebanon and Syria. The Fallen Angels began interbreeding and/or genetically modifying the local inhabitants.
6.1 And it came to pass, when the sons of men had increased, that in those days there were born to them fair and beautiful daughters.
6.2 And the Angels, the sons of Heaven, saw them and desired them. And they said to one another: “Come, let us choose for ourselves wives, from the children of men, and let us beget, for ourselves, children.” …
6.6 And they were, in all, two hundred and they came down on Ardis, which is the summit of Mount Hermon. And they called the mountain Hermon because on it they swore and bound one another with curses.
They are still alive and imprisoned inside the earth and are currently acting as disembodied spirits until judgement day and are controlling many and wreaking havoc upon the world through their demonic spirits. As God has allowed Satan to do.
Numbers 13:35 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”
Matthew 24:37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Genesis 6:4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.
Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
As a Red-Letter Christian, I don't have faith in anything the Jews said in the Jewish scripture of the Torah / the Old Covenant that God permanently stamped out and replaced with the New Covenant.
And no, I don't care about the Jew's Old Testament scripture that is obsessed with foreskins and mutilating babies ... or REMORSELESSLY slaughtering your entire family for the crime of not being Jewish (Deuteronomy 13:6-10) ... or casting the pagan bird blood magic of Leviticus 14 or genociding entire nations for the crime of not being Jewish (Deuteronomy 13:13-17).
Never has my Heavenly Father, the Son or the Holy Spirit compelled me to mutilate children or REMORSELESSLY slaughter my loved ones or cast blood magic. I suspect you are praying to some sort of fucked-up demon if that's the edicts you are receiving.
Jesus Christ is my King, my Lord and the One True Path to Salvation... not Moses and not Moloch.
It's your God-given right to believe whatever you want and I choose to disregard something that God found so intolerable He was forced to intervene to end it and replace it.
The entire Bible IS the word of God and all relevant. It is our guidebook for life. The reason so many are struggling is because they have decided to pick and choose what they want to apply to their lives. Yes Jesus brought a new covenant, yet he said .
Matthew 5:17 “ Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
I am a born again child of God (the one true God) Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I am a forgiven sinner because I chose to repent and ask Jesus to be my Lord and Saviour.
Correct: Jesus Christ and God didn't care about reforming the Jewish laws of the Torah / Old Covenant. Not one dot and not one jot of it. Then Jesus fulfilled and permanently ended Judaism and replaced it with the New Covenant that IS the One True Path to Salvation.
Yes, Jesus the only path. The entire Bible is still whole and true complete and is to be used as such
In your humble opinion and in your personal beliefs.
It's your God given right to believe whatever you like. Many people value the Old Covenant as much as you do and can't even recognize Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior... but don't let that stop you.
I disagree with you, but that's OK and I hope you enjoy your pagan bird blood magic and the mutilation of children. I only ask that you don't remorselessly murder your family because of what Moses believed.
When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, his rebukes to Satan was to quote Deuteronomy.
Matthew 4 [4] But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Verse 4 is quoting Deuteronomy 8:3: “And he [the LORD] humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.”
Matthew chapter 4 continued: “[5] Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, [6] And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. [7] Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.” Verse 7 is from Deuteronomy 6:16: “Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.”
Matthew chapter 4: “[8] Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; [9] And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. [10] Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Verse 10 is taken from Deuteronomy 6:13: “Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.”
I question that.
It's not unreasonable to question and research scripture and call for guidance from the Holy Spirit in the act.
I regularly use the BibleGateway's translation mechanics to research the original ancient Greek and Aramaic language of the New Testament to gain a deeper education about the historic context of scripture. It's very rewarding.
Even when God spoke to the Apostles through the Holy Spirit, they often questioned who was truly speaking / was it God or a demon?
And I know scripture is full of human errors in it's initial transcript, collation, translation and interpretation. Even the KJV is full of translation mistakes (a.k.a. human errors), the most notable being that Jesus is the King of the Jews rather than the King of the People of Jerusalem. Big difference!!!
I appreciate how comforting and lazy it is to quote scripture out of context in attempts to win debates or pissing contests, but I'm only seeking Truth.
The Old Testament is valuable for exactly this reason. History, prophecy, wisdom (Proverbs), and using scripture to define/explain scripture.
Agreed and the Jewish scripture is also valuable to understand that God wanted it to end. He officially stamped it out and replaced it and I'm forever thankful that He did.
Dempsey, that's not what the scripture says.
2 Timothy 3:16 King James Version 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Deuteronomy 13:6-10 King James Version 6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
It's the same with Deuteronomy 13:13-17.
I agree, however I am a Red-Letter Christian who follows the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
As much as I love Saint Timothy, I recognize him as fallible human, far less fallible than most, but human nevertheless. I know his good works and his scripture and I measure the truth of each passage based on almost 2,000 years of human history.
Deuteronomy is Old Covenant Jewish scripture that God stamped out and replaced.
Deuteronomy is not the One True Path to Salvation.
In that case I highly recommend the Doctrine of Christ series posted here. I hope you see a subject that interests you.

FYI... the earliest Christians rejected the Old Testament entirely.
On the contrary, it was the only scripture they had.
Agreed. They weren't concerned with revising even a single dot nor jot of it, just in permanently fulfilling, ended and replacing it with the New Covenant.
