So I keep thinking what if the scare event is targeted at the capitol during the SOTU? I mean we know they use media to foreshadow and there’s been a show on Netflix for a couple of seasons called designated survivor (kiefer sutherland is in it) about how the govt is destroyed in a bomb blast and he ends up president by default. Also echoes the plot of Debt of Honour by Tom Clancy where a plane was flown into the capitol during SOTU & Kack Ryan ends up as president as a result… Or alternatively potato Joe turns into an undeniable total blubbering mess live on TV so badly that the networks can no longer cover it
