True. He’s known for a while too. Back in 2012 he banned US citizens from adopting Russian orphans. My personal theory is he tried to stop trafficking of Russian children
A doctor I worked for many years was days away from adopting a Russian baby when this happened. She wound up with a Chinese boy instead. She is a really giving person and great doctor that looked after her patients. But Putin knew Russian adoptions were out of control and he knew what was happening.
That's funny, the very same year Trump said fast trial > death penalty for the perverts stealing children.
That was in retaliation to sanctions by the West and the adoption of the Magnitsky Act that froze a lot of Russian money they were laundering through western financial institutes or real estate. The Magnitsky Act had a measurable effect against Putin's wealth, and this is why Russia discontinued adoption from their country for Western nations. A quick DDG will show this.
