On the issue of Taiwan…

I worked with a woman who was originally from Taiwan, went to school here, and became a citizen, and in fact lives fairly close to me. I talked to her at length about Taiwan, but I never got the impression from her that there was corruption there, so that’s why I’ve been surprised lately to find out otherwise. The main takeaways I got was that being an island nation, it is quite crowded, with large cities. There is not enough free space for raising animals such as cows, so milk, beef, and especially cheese, are a novelty – and quite expensive. The main source of protein is, naturally, fish.

Back when the whole plandemic started, I read an article about a hydroxychloroquine manufacturing site in Taiwan that had blown up. I assumed the DS had blown it up to prevent the usage of HCQ, but didn’t give it much thought beyond that. Below is the link to the article:

Now, in hindsight, this is perhaps not surprising if Taiwan is corrupt. It may be interesting to follow the money here.

Also of interest is Mitch McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, and her family. Her parents are both from China and moved to Taiwan, where Elaine was born. Her parents own a shipping company and have rights to dock at a major port in China:

According to the woman I know, it wasn’t unusual for the Chinese to move to Taiwan to escape what was going on in mainland China. My friend’s father was Chinese, while her mother is Taiwanese.

The one big thing to keep an eye on in Taiwan is the microchip industry:

The guy who was working for Elon was working in Los Angeles. Not far from LA and near Joshua Tree National Park is the Chocolate Mountain Military Base.
