An alternative view: Putin needed a credible ally for his chosen course of action. Who should he have chosen?

When the woke lefties try to show that a protest is NAZI they need to send in someone of their own with a swastika. In Ukraine, they have units associated with the Ukraine military who provide their own swastikas and NAZI insignia and the woke leftists are OK with that.
