Yeah, our local school board and the teachers union here in a small N CA town is adamant that the physical and psychological torture of students will continue despite Newsom's wimpy-worded statement on mask policies.
Not one parent has stood up to speak out against masking their kids. A neighbor and I attended a recent meeting to voice our opposition to masking students. We are older and do not have children in school so I don't think our concerns held much weight.
It's so depressing to pass by an elementary school and see kids walking around in their "Super Hero" and cutsie juvenile-branded masks.
I am also in Northern CA. My kids have been participating in a mask protest and the school became much more hostile towards them today than the previous week of protesting before the break.
One of the administrators told me this morning that even if Newsome cancels the mask mandate, we still have to follow CDC guidance and that we are high risk here in our city so we’d likely have to continue wearing masks anyway. Ummm…. 🤔😡 This is still a fight!
We have an amazing man running for our district school superintendent and I’ve asked him to come meet with parents to help us prepare for our school board meeting tomorrow night. We are still fighting this as well as the vaccine mandates. We will not give up!
I was a homeschooler back in the day when it wasn't well-known. I'm currently helping a local homeschool group tackle all the new parents who have emailed with questions wanting to try it out. (So maybe there's hope for some CA parents!)
I'm conducting separate sewing classes for homeschooled preteens and teens. It's amazing how kids are not taught the basics on how to mend, sew on a button, etc., let alone the more advanced skills like clothing construction. I taught my teens how to refashion thrift shop finds. It was quite creative and they had a lot of fun with that project.
It's critically important that the children wear their masks from now until the 11th. Millions will die if they don't. However, our extremely scientific modeling has shown that the threat will have passed the day the mandate expires.

In WA here. They let us know a while back that March 21st would be the date. I’m hearing the mask will still be required everywhere medical and probably permanent. Lunacy.
I think they have peoples' immune systems nice and weak and now coming in with the heavy guns. Not like masks would have helped anyway. Letting their guards down is their ultimate goal methinks.
CA Gov. Newsom is lifting the mask mandate in schools on March 11 because Covid has learned to tell time.
The mask mandates here lifted themselves some time ago, they just didn't tell Gruesome about it.

Wow! Good for you! Keep up the fight and back those who can make a difference!

And just like that, the terrible disease, the anathema of humankind, vanished without a whimper, yelp or cry… thank you Putin.

I think even if the mask mandates were lifted, there will be those who will still wear the mask... you know, to protect you.
Yeah, I’ve seen them. The ones that wear them while driving...alone.
Lunacy is one word for it. Ugh!!!!
Here comes smallpox.
