funny thing... i opened up a yahoo window a few minutes ago... there was a cargo ship carrying around 4000 electric cars that burned this last week and then sank today.... are we going to see all the panicking in the news on the environmental disaster caused by 4000 cars with lithium batteries sitting on the bottom of the ocean?? that's at least 2000 tons of lithium batteries sitting in the ocean... remember the BP oil spill in the gulf.. that was top news for months... yet today... the oil naturally seeps through the ocean floor in that area... the media won't dare spill the beans on the pollution caused by 4000 battery cars on the ocean floor because that would open the eyes of the sheeple that lithium batteries are not very green at all!!!
Would you care to address oil pipeline breaks now? There's been plenty of oil tankers that have wrecked and/or spilled their load of oil. Lithium ion batteries aren't going to have the widespread effect like millions of barrels of oil that get out at about any spill. Oil also spreads a lot, whereas the lithium ion batteries at most would just kind of leech some chemicals into the ocean. I don't think some lithium ion batteries falling into the ocean is some huge environmental disaster compared to all the other ways oil can and does continually spill, aside from an oil well in the ocean.

Hasn't that boat been burning for like two weeks now?
