I think the semiconductor and device (phone/tablet/laptop) industry is tied to the Triads.

I think the shipping industry is Triad and CCP (check out Mitch McConnell's obviously a spy wife).

Could be, but the major triad organizations are mostly based in Hong Kong or mainland China. They definitely have influence in Taiwan, but doesn't every country have some sort of organized crime?
