Mail-in-ballots isn't going to bring in the big numbers for dems in Texas. Especially not after the law changed.

Officials in Harris County -- home to Houston -- had flagged as faulty nearly 30% of the more than 38,000 mail-in ballots received as of Monday because voters did not include identifying information on the return envelope, the county's election chief Isabel Longoria told reporters Tuesday morning.

Around 40,000 votes is a drop in the bucket for the massive Harris County.

Only a subset of Texas voters are eligible to cast ballots by mail. They include those 65 and older, people who will be out of the county and voters who are disabled or ill.

But the new law bans election officials from sending out unsolicited mail-in ballot applications. And by the time Williams realized that, it was too late, he said.

In other parts of the state, however, voters encountered spot problems because of poll worker shortages.

In Hidalgo County, in southern Texas near the US-Mexico border, the shortages forced some Democratic polling places to close Tuesday.

Democratic Party officials also worked "furiously" to add more Democratic poll workers in Tarrant County, home to Fort Worth, said Rose Clouston, voter protection director for the Texas Democratic Party. She said "normal human stuff" -- such as illness and car problems -- seemed to contribute to the loss of volunteers.

Poll worker shortages are the big clue that Tex dems are in serious trouble. They've never been short on that. If they are short on those than they will be short on the people who count the votes.And dems are never short on having people to count the votes.

Under longstanding Texas practice, the political parties themselves oversee the primaries on Election Day and are responsible for recruiting election judges and clerks.

THAT is a big problem. Dems not showing up on election day could be dismissed as "oh they like to vote earlier". Except "early" voting for dems is usually something like Souls to the Polls type stuff. They bring (herd) them in big groups to the polls.

They had to close polling places because they were so short of workers. Dems are generally a lazy base. They have to be herded to the polls or given some kind of incentive. If you can't even get them to show up as paid poll workers, then good luck trying to get them to turn out. They are in DEEP trouble.

Universities are also a big source of votes for dems, but the most leftists want to stay home. With their most rabid holed up they lose out on their most enthusiastic.

Mail ballot usage during early voting has dropped precipitously since 2018, with tens of thousands of voters — especially Republicans — ditching the forms after two years of the GOP's baseless claims that absentee voting facilitates fraud.

Mail in ballot votes have gone off a cliff in Texas. One way dems got around their lazy base problem was by just voting for them through mail in ballot, but it's so hard now that they can't do that now. Without mail in ballot and with a shortage of poll workers and polling staff to heard their base out they're going to be crushed badly on election day in Texas.

Fear not, the Dems will still eke out a win!

We will win local elections easily. They cannot cheat hack those. But state level and federal will be still be stolen. Dominion machines are still used. We know what are neighbors feel, this is why local elections can’t be stolen. But the next town, the next county? They use this uncertainty to their advantage. 2022 will get hacked and stolen. 2024 they will do it again , but in 2024 it will be so blatant so obvious people will rise up.
