Yeah, I think it was his only play, honestly. The Deep State's level of control, despite there being a plan behind the scenes means very limited options at times and I can see why Trump had to. Good, bad or indifferent, I think it had to be that way.

Yeah maybe. Obviously he would know what to say better than me but I think something like "You hate to see the suffering/casualties (etc.) but we're not getting the whole story from the mainstream media" would've been okay.
