Correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't blowing up a biological military laboratory full of harmful pathogens a BAD idea?

You'd think they would just wait until after 5:00pm, when all the employees leave for the night... then walk into the facility, disarm the single inept guard... and have all the evidence while all the pathogens are secure. Why make all the pathogens go airborne?
