just an idea, maybe your dad is secretly a satanist? i've lived your exact story multi times in the last year (it sucks, but the truth can hurt) ..... once you get too close to the truth, the secret holder shuts down and attacks the truth (you). could be guilt, fear, or realization that they fucked up big time and NCSWIC.
