God's law prescribes the death penalty for rape in Deuteronomy 22:25.
And in Luke.17 [2] Jesus says:
"It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones."
I don't suppose that you ignore that part of the Bible.
I suppose you are too ignorant of the Bible to know.
You people are hilarious. You only show your extreme ignorance when you don't even understand the difference between the OLD COVENANT and THE NEW. Try reading Q, since he seems to be more of a God to you, and you'll notice Q says: READ THE BIBLE. Then go and actually READ your Bible - not just the bits you like, and not just once a year. Read the whole thing keeping it all in context and you'll find the New Covenant as embodied in Jesus - a character you may have heard of in passing who is also GOD - DOES AWAY with the Law and the Old Testament justice. Genius.
Ahh such a biblical Scholar we are humbly blessed with on The Great Awakening!
And one who spouts foolish nonsense to embarrass himself in public.
"GOD - DOES AWAY with the Law and the Old testament justice. Genius."
Has such an Imminent Scholar as yourself ever touched a Bible?
2Tim.3
Matt.5
Both Jesus and the Apostle Paul say directly that God does NOT do away with the Old Testament. Quite the opposite, Christ affirms and fulfills it.
I read Scripture daily, IN CONTEXT AND IN FULL, as it is prescribed in Scripture: Isa.28 [10]
Clearly drooling idiots like you DO NOT.
Jesus said; Matthew 5:17” Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
This is right. But I would also say that there is some merit in the thinking that: "Jesus does not say no part of the law will ever pass away; he says no part of it shall pass away until it is fulfilled. He says he came to do this very thing, to fulfill it. So, with his coming, the law has been fulfilled and has passed away. We now live under the law of Christ, not beneath the law of Moses." And "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord." I would argue that the difference between justified killing and murder is simply self-defense and the defense of the innocent. I'm not sure that avenging the innocent fits within this definition. But of course, all trolling aside, to each his own. "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."
To clarify, The Bible says. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Psalm 82:2-5 2)How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? 3)“Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. 4) Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.! 5) But these oppressors know nothing; they are so ignorant! They wander about in darkness, while the whole world is shaken to the core.
