I heard that Matt Drudge sold it off many years ago. If true, that would explain the change, but I don't know.

Right after Trump's win the selected article collection changed from populist based to establishment Trump witch hunt. I never saw anything about selling it off but figured something had to have happened because the change was as different as night and day.
